Volunteer

Our event would not be what it is without the help of our amazing volunteers! Volunteers support riders on the road through aid stations and SAG vehicles, at the race start and finish, and at the post race party. Volunteers also help us get ready for the race ahead of the big day and help clean up afterwards. If you are interested in helping out with this year’s event please sign-up at the link below!

In 2024 we are happy to be supporting the Marfa Education Foundation as our donation recipient!

Marfa Education Foundation (MEF) is a non-profit that plays a critical role in the educational experience for students of Marfa ISD. Through grant funding, MEF supports innovative programming that would not otherwise be available to Marfa’s tiny school district, including a mix of academic, literacy, arts and technology programs. Students thrive in these programs and it is hard to summarize the breadth of what MEF offers. Some examples - students have gone on to state competitions in science and robotics, they have received scholarships to help with college, and they annually write and act in plays performed for the local Marfa community - all thanks to the support of MEF.
